Trig Applications
We will be solving real problems using trigonometric relationships.
Tuesday, January 23: We investigated the ambiguous case. The assignment is Pg. 461; Q1 - Q10, 1 - 14. If you struggle with this concept, try these links: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTDmOzUIIaw, mathbitsnotebook.com/Geometry/TrigApps/TAUsingLawCosines.html,
Friday, January 25: Students took the Law of Sines/Cosines Quiz. Remember that tonight you need to complete at least 10 of the 20 problems from the "Trig With Geometry" worksheet .
Wednesday, January 30: We looked at trig form of complex numbers.
Thursday, January 31: We looked at the cool implication of taking roots of complex numbers with the DeMoivre
's worksheet! There are also answers, but don't look at them until you have attempted the problems! DeMoivre
Here is a review for the test and here are the answers. And here is a practice test (without answers).
Friday, February 1: We went over the geometry problems and answered questions about the test and got the take-home problems for the test.
Take Home Problems
15. Write and solve an application problem that must be solved using the law of sines in which the answer is 2018. Be thorough, but concise and show your complete solution after the problem.
16. Write and solve an application problem involving bearings/headings/directions that must be solved using the law of cosines in which the answer is 2019. Be thorough, but concise and show your complete solution after the problem.

- Monday we are doing a lab in class.
- Tuesday, we are taking the trig application test in class and attaching the take-home problems to it.
- Tuesday, students may retake the no-calculator part of the trig identity test either during lunch or after school.
- Thursday, students may retake the calculator part of the trig identity test either during lunch or after school.
