Task for what's left of the break: This first task is to help you make some algebraic and trigonometric connections. You may not have time to complete this by Monday, January 7, but you can work on it in class Monday and (I hope) it will be due on Tuesday.
Monday, January 7: Work on the algebra review task - asking questions and ironing out misconceptions.
Tuesday, January 8: Check algebra review task and get access to answers. Also receive trig review.
Wednesday, January 9: Algebra review task is due to be checked. Continue trig review.
Thursday, January 10: Bring Trig Identity Test and Quiz to class to discuss.
Friday, January 11: Students received a practice quiz and a massive review sheet. Students should only work about 1/3 of the first column since they should be familiar with most of those type problems. Work the identities as needed. Ones students should seriously try are #83 about tan 50, problems 53 - 59 about proving calculator facts and 63 - 68 about similar problems, some of the product to sum relationships, and at least 1/3 of the "solving equations" problems.
Then we'll decide if we need more work on identities or the algebra behind them. The test will be no later than January 16.
