Friday, November 30: Try working this worksheet instead of reading the book first. If you don't see the pattern, read the book, but I'd love for you to try to see the relationship first. And the problems on the worksheet should be enough unless you don't get them - and in that case do the book work since it has answers.
Monday, December 3: Tonight's assignment is to read in the Foerster Text: pages 407 - 411 and work on page 411: 1, 3 - 13
Tuesday, December 4: Tonight's assignment is to read in the Foerster Text: pages 416 - 420 and work: Pg. 420: 1 – 31 odd
Wednesday, December 5: Tomorrow we have a real quiz and here is a practice quiz for it. It covers knowing basic trig identities, using trig identities, verifying trig identities, solving trig equations and rewriting expressions using trig identities. Your assignment for tonight is to catch up working the problems you haven't worked so far and get ready to make an "A" on the quiz.
Thursday, December 6: QUIZ!!! And the assignment is to start working problems from the chapter reviews and chapter tests to practice for your chapter test.
Tuesday, December 11: Today we looked at rotating points with this worksheet. Tests are graded and my conclusion is that, for the most part, you do not know your trig identities and you need work on algebra as well. Therefore, I plan on putting in those test grades, however, I will now drop 1 test grade for each person. You will still be able to retake a test on which you feel you can improve. I will still drop a quiz and give you an extra 100 for sitting in desks until the bell rings.
Wednesday, December 12: Today students chose what test they would like to retake. All the retests have 11 questions, which will count 9 points each to be subtracted from 100 possible points. Although most of the questions are multiple choice, from 1 to 3 questions on each test are open-ended.
Thursday, December 13: Today we took the retests and I realized that some students didn't understand the final exam review assignment and since this counts as the last homework grade, I need to make it clearer. I want to see 5 questions from each of the 6 units represented on the final exam, therefore I am looking for 30 questions (for a 30 point homework check) that are written and solved. I will take these as late as Monday, but I do need them by Monday!
